Confused about the "Citrus Scale"? Or even asking yourself, "What's a 'Squick'?" There's a quick and easy guide located under the form.
The "Citrus Scale" for Beginners

Limes
Well, you won't get a lemon!
So, What is a lime? Limes are typically considered "under" sex.
Most limes are about the romanticism and pre-sex makeouts/connections.
Sometimes, full-on intercourse occurs, but is out-of-focus. Nothing takes place too graphically, instead focusing on the character's feelings and basic actions.

Lemons
The Drink to Quench that Thirst
In plain and simple English, a "lemon" fic contains sex. The term originates (possibly) from the face you make when reading a really good porn-story, and how it looks kind of like the one you make when biting into a lemon.

Grapefruit
Ew! Somebody likes this?
Grapefruit is a bit difficult to pin down, but the basics are: 1) If it's highly graphical, it probably belongs here; 2) If it's a "non-standard" kink that might not be reasonably shared with the next guy, it probably goes here; 3) If it's "hardcore" or "nasty", it probably goes here.

Kiwi
Is it even Citrus?
Does it even go here? Well, yes and no. Kiwi, while technically not citrus is often included due to its flavor profile being quite similar. What's this got to do with porn? Well, Kiwi represents the off-the-wall and the strange, or bizarre. UnicornsxSlime? Right here. Two astronauts going at it in 0Gs? Don't mind if I do.
'Squick' is a term that originated before the term "trigger" got popular* and blew up all across the internet. A simple way to think of it is this: a "trigger" is a 'hard no, please don't include because x reasons'; a "squick" is sort of a... 'soft no' as in, 'it's not for me but it's not a total deal-breaker'.
For example, someone who is allergic to tomatoes and was force-fed them as a punishment would include the word "tomato" in their list of triggers, while someone who just isn't a fan of tomatoes would include it as a squick.
*popular, not created; 'trigger' is a term that's been around for a while, just not necessarily appearing in Fandom much until semi-recently
