About
When the ruler of Istria Friulana --a small country between Italy and Slovenia-- is massacred with most of his court, tensions, uncertainties, and fear run high amongst the populace.
Who did it? Why did they do it? Who will take the throne? What will become of us?
All those questions and more swirl in the mind of the King's mother, Dowager Queen Eleanora Marija, and the thoughts of the country as a whole.
While the throne threatens to sit empty, voices clamour for an heir... there's just one problem: he died unmarried and without any legal issue.
Hope remains, however, with his bastard daughter living somewhere in the States... provided she can be shaped up into a proper royal before the country has the chance to reject her, that is.
At a loss for what to do, Eleanora has no choice but to investigate what exactly happened that night aboard the HRMS Rudolpho, educate her estranged granddaughter, and try to hold the country together through the worst tragedy they've seen since WWII.
And, as if all that weren't enough, a rival claimant who has long eyed the throne has begun speaking out...
